WRG won a competitive pitch to deliver the Qatargas Inauguration event, the world’s largest ever Liquid Natural Gas project which boasts countless world first’s for the LNG industry and is the result of the joint efforts of Exxon Mobil, Total and Qatargas.

Twelve months of planning with a dedicated team of five based out in Doha, and ultimately an on-site crew of over 120 people.

Attendees included the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Chief Executives of Exxon Mobil and Total, senior members of the Qatari government and HRH Prince Andrew.

Alongside the main launch, WRG were responsible for delivering a month-long exhibition on the Corniche telling the story of the Qatargas integrated value chain and a VIP Gala Dinner in the new Museum of Islamic Art, the first to take place in this prestigious venue.

WRG designed and constructed a bespoke venue, which included a spectacular air-conditioned thousand seat auditorium and two 100ft moving screens, housed within a perfect dome measuring 44m in diameter and 22m high, the design and scale of which was a world first.

The production gave Qatar Gas the platform to tell their impressive story of global energy and engineering. A story broadcast live on Qatar TV and widely covered by international media including CNN and the BBC.
